If I were a thief, I would be a crow, & for a tree, probably a Midland hawthorn. I spend hours in my garden, picking plums, weaving nest-cabins for my blackbird friends and future runner ducks.Art & research are my daily companion. Mudlarking, woolgathering, finding beauty and treasure are among my favourite things. I have a fondness for old things with unknown histories, forgotten crafts, botanical names and beautiful books. I like people with obsessions. The more unnecessary, the better.I like correspondence that wanders. A letter can begin with a plum tree and end somewhere in an old shoe
