I'm a curious and generally lighthearted person with an eclectic love of history, literature, languages, and nature. I spend a lot of time reading and writing. I like Canadian and Russian history, frontier novels, mysteries, poetry, and biography. I also enjoy old films, folk music, and occasionally disappearing down relatively obscure historical rabbit holes. I have a somewhat quirky, irreverent sense of humor, a fondness for wordplay, and a tendency to become enthusiastically attached to niche subjects like precambrian geology.
