I'm planning an offbeat journey through the rural heart of Jammu, Punjab and Haryana to experience traditional North Indian village life.The idea is to explore lesser-known villages, remote settlements and small towns where old customs, religious traditions and community life are still practised. I'm particularly interested in experiencing the kind of old-school rural lifestyle associated with the 1980s — traditional homes, village courtyards, local food, farming, folk traditions and everyday life with local families.
