I'm a 48 yo trying to become more self-sufficient by growing my own food, both by gardening and by raising poultry. I was born and raised in Central Virginia and have lived on farms most of my adult life. I am an animal lover and have 3 horses, 2 sheep, 2 dogs, 2 cats as well as the aforementioned chickens ducks and geese.
