A foreign student pursuing a Phd in Japan. Being far away from my family and old friends gave me a lot of time to find myself through yoga, teaching or interacting with foreign cultures. In the meantime, social media turns my friendships into something really ambivalent: A pile of frequent but distant messages. I love writing letters; choosing the stamps, dropping my neat envelopes in red postboxes during a walk. I miss that romantic way of communication. My family or friends never really write back but I wish to receive physical letters.
