I'm Mike, a retired schoolteacher who keeps busy researching/teaching genealogy, walking in nature and travelling, my favourite destinations to date being Ireland, Italy, Canada and Colombia. Young at heart & spiritual, my politics are liberal & green, I love the natural world, support animal charities and regularly walk Pip, a rescue cocker spaniel. I'm a family man, father of three wonderful thirty-somethings and granddad to three adorable youngsters. My personality is best described as laid back and inquisitive, with a love for life, relishing the thought of what tomorrow will bring.
