Born in Germany, migrating to Australia. I had been living for almost 50 years on a small Australian island. Married, no children. Initially working in a training capacity at a company which closed down, eventually making me redundant. I build a house and lived off-grid, as self-sufficient as possible. Beach combing, bush-walking with wife and dog, reading, photography (producing and selling landscape postcards and calendars). Created a private Nature reserve where native animals and plants had priority. We finally resettled on the mainland of Australia.
