I am a software design researcher interested in how to make the digital world a more inclusive and fun place. I used to teach college-level English, and before that I did a graduate degree in medieval Islamic philosophy and literature. When I’m not working I love reading the works of the poet Sa’di, gardening, hiking, spending time at the beach with my dog, and multimedia art projects.
