I live in the boonies in Alaska, and I love it. I wander around at night under the stars and northern lights. I carve ice. I climb mountains. I eat moose and caribou and wild berries. I run on the beach with the icy wind numbing my face. I run a non-profit corporation focused on Alaskan arts. But I love leaving Alaska for brief periods. There is nothing I enjoy more that wandering new roads - stopping in coffee shops, camping in the woods, walking into hole-in-the-wall diners to order flapjacks, and conversing with interesting people. There is beauty in every corner of the world.
