I'm a mostly retired guy with an understanding wife. I was a submarine officer (8 yrs), software engineer, handyman.... I was never very "career" oriented, it's more fun to explore around. I'm from western NC, but I worked in Seattle and up and down the East Coast with the Navy.Lately I've been hiking a lot and riding bicycles. I'm a letterboxer and occasional geocacher, reader (and occasionally attempt writing). I'm given to small, obsessive hobbies (mechanical wristwatches, fountain pens.) I work on our cars, and I once built a house. I'm giving examples, not trying to write a resume here.
