I love writing emails like this because it makes me truly think about how I want to express myself. I realized in the past two years I had been completely neglecting the human part of myself and focusing merely on my academics. In turn, I felt something was missing. This summer I picked up reading again and I had an epiphany. Writing as a method to articulate my thoughts and feelings is what keeps me sane. It's what keeps me human. Reading helps with that because it gives me inspiration on how to go about it.
