I am from a mixed heritage background (Japan and USA) and grew up in the US and the U.K. I enjoy reading modern fiction, staying active, and spending time with my family. I play guitar, bass guitar, and trombone and appreciate all genres of music, from death metal in the gym, musicals with my children, and classical when commuting. Cooking is my main creative outlet and I particularly enjoy the relationships I have built with my local butchers and grocers. I love coffee (brewed and espresso) and have most recently gotten into hot smoking meats.
