A few years ago I was out to lunch with my daughter & ordered a salad. She asked "Is that what you really want?" I said, "No. I really want a cheeseburger, but my diet says I can have salad." She said "Mom, you've been on a diet your whole life. Order the cheeseburger!" I realized she was right. Life is too short. You don't get a second go round. So now my new mantra is 'Order the Cheeseburger!" I live alone & mostly spend my time painting. Sunflowers & butterflies are my favorite subjects.
