I love to travel, though I’ve never driven, and have lived outside Australia for around eight years. I’m deeply interested in global politics, in particular related to Europe (and Germany) at this complex & increasingly challenging time. Beyond this my interests include writing, film, history, music, family & friends, & urban walking. Like many, I love good company & talk - lots of topics! I’ve published widely across genres, as a journalist and as an academic.
