How to log a letter you posted
- 1Post it. Write, stamp and post your letter, postcard or parcel in the usual way.
- 2Open your conversation with that penpal on Global Penfriends.
- 3Tap the button below the message area, then confirm “Yes, I posted it”. You can log one letter per penpal per day.

When a letter arrives
- 1Go to Snail mail › Post Received. It lists everything your penpals have posted to you.
- 2Switch the item from “In transit” to “Received”. Your penpal’s log updates, so they know it reached you safely.
- 3Never arrived? You can remove the item from your list — it will show as “Not received”.
Still waiting?
Post can be slow, especially between continents. If a letter you sent hasn’t been marked received after 60 days, you can send a gentle reminder from your Post Sent page — once per penpal.
Please log honestly. Only log letters you have really posted — the log is a shared record for you and your penpal. See our guide to logging a posted letter.
