I’m an Italian academic working on popular culture. My interests include anime, manga, video games, visual novels, folklore, mythology, detective fiction, cultural history, gender and representation.I’m particularly interested in how stories and genres change when they move between cultures. I also enjoy languages, travel, and everyday culture.Recently, I presented on Fate/Grand Order at “Antiquity in Simulation” (Oxford University, Jun 2026). Soon, I will be in Paris for a talk on Pinocchio, the gaokao, and Lies of P at “Collodi hier et aujourd’hui” (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Nov 2026)
