I'm a pretty introverted person, always have been, I mostly stayed at home with no desire to go outside as a kid, which has now led to me having very few friends and now struggling especially to make new ones in uni. One on my new years resolutions last year was to find a penpal and send letters with a stranger because I thought that it could help me alot with this lack of finding friends, but I never got round to it. Now that it's 2025 I habe decided to commit more to this idea as I am slowly exiting my shell, and the idea of having a penpal still warms my heart.
